We live in a global community and it’s very important to know what is happening in other countries.
Every week you will research a current event from any Spanish speaking country.
On the back of the article or attached have a write a HANDWRITTEN summary of the article.
The current events must be CURRENT!!
You will read your summary and explain your article to a class-mate every Friday. You may be called on to share your article and summary with the entire class. You will hand in the article and summary for points.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to remember that the current events are due EVERY FRIDAY.
Spanish I and II: Write your summary in English
Spanish III: Write your summary in Spanish.
Spanish IV: Find an article in Spanish and write your summary in Spanish.
Every week you will research a current event from any Spanish speaking country.
- You will print a current event article from an online newspaper, or from a website of a respected news program.
- You must include the web address of the site you visited.
- You may use American or foreign newspaper sites.
On the back of the article or attached have a write a HANDWRITTEN summary of the article.
- Summary = 1 paragraph = 5 sentences or more.
- The summary is in your own words. Plagiarism is not allowed. I check to see if you have paraphrased, used your own words and have given your opinion.
The current events must be CURRENT!!

- Make sure that the article you print mentions the date of the event that has taken place, or has the date in which the article was written or printed.
